UTP  and fiber optic patch cables are used to connect active equipment to each other. Patch cables are usually used to patch in 19" cabinets. In some cases you will find patch cables in cable ducts to cover long distances. Besides the standard range of UTP and fiber optic patch cables we also have the  Polarity Twist™  patch cables and prefab cables. With the thin  Polarity Twist™ patch cables you save time and space in a data center or server room. The  Polarity Twist™ fiber optic patch cables have a unique connector to change the polarity in just a few seconds. You don't change the fibers but you twist the connector, which can be switched 180° in just a few seconds.

With increasing complexity and size of cable systems, good cable management is essential. Good cable management prevents cable wear and tear, overheating in server rooms and blockages of airflow. But you can also more easily distinguish cables by application and identify specific ports. Of course, there are many types of cabling where cable management can be applied.

Intronics offers a wide range of fiber optic transceivers. These are also called SFP or mini GBIC modules. Fiber optic transceivers are used for communication between switches and servers via fiber optic. The fiber optic modules can be coded for compatibility with A brand network switches and servers. With traditional network equipment and twisted pair (UTP) cabling, the cable is directly connected to the network device such as a switch or a server. With fiber optic the fiber optic cable is connected to an optical transceiver wich is plugged into the network device. The optical transceiver is an intermediate step to enhance the flexibility of the used network devices such as switches and servers.
