What is IPMX?

IPMX stands for "Internet Protocol Media Experience" and is a suite of published standards and open specifications for transmitting real-time audio, video and data signals over IP networks. IPMX is specifically designed to meet the needs of the ProAV industry. It utilizes existing standards and specifications such as SMPTE ST 2110 and AMWA NMOS, which are already widely used in the broadcast industry. As a result, IPMX is more scalable than any other AVoIP solution with ultra-low latency and enables interoperability between different brands and systems.

Why Choose IPMX?

  • Interoperability: By using open standards, devices from different manufacturers can seamlessly work together.
  • Flexibility: IPMX adapts to any network and can operate with various network equipment at maximum speed. Users don’t need to worry about complex configurations—IPMX takes care of it.
  • Reliability: IPMX provides three levels of fault tolerance, allowing users to choose the best option for their needs, from fully redundant solutions to those relying on network protocols and equipment.
  • Performance: Supports HDR, HFR (High Frame Rate), 4K, and 8K, with 4:4:4 and 4:2:2 colour space.
  • Ease of Use: Can be deployed in virtually any scenario, whether using high-end, professional equipment or simpler network setups.
  • HDCP Support: HDCP is supported across networks thanks to the HKEP (HDCP Key Exchange Protocol) defined by VSF and released in 2024.
  • Edid Support: EDID identification on the HDMI signal is supported, ensuring that displays automatically adjust to the best resolution based on the source and screen.
